The Detroit Tigers will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight in the first game of their three-game series as they wrap up the first half. The Tigers are winners of six of their last seven. Yesterday they made the move to bump Kenta Maeda to the bullpen and go with a bullpen game on Sunday in their finale of this series. Today they made another roster move as they have optioned Akil Baddoo to Triple-A Toledo and have recalled Ryan Vilade from Toledo.

Tigers Roster Moves By The Numbers

OF – Akil Baddoo

Baddoo has now wrapped up his third stint with the Tigers he would go 0-7 in the past four games. This season with Detroit in 26 games he slashed .117/.217/.300 with a .517 OPS; he had one double, two triples, two home runs, four RBI, seven runs scored, one stolen base, and eight walks. At Toledo in 41 games he has slashed .250/.353/.468 with a .821 OPS; he has eight doubles, four triples, six home runs, 22 RBI, 30 runs scored, 25 walks, and 16 stolen bases.

OF – Ryan Vilade

Vilade this season has played in four games with the Tigers going 2-9 for a .222 average and a .522 OPS; he has three RBI, and a walk. At Triple-A Toledo in 70 games he’s slashed .286/.367/.470 with a .837 OPS; he had 16 doubles, nine home runs, 42 RBI, 33 runs scored, 13 stolen bases, and 28 walks. Aside from the four games with Detroit this season he’s only played in three other games in his big league career with the Colorado Rockies in which he went 0-6 with a walk and a strikeout.
