The Cincinnati Reds have lost seven straight games heading into this weekend’s series with the Astros. They enter tonight’s game with a 20-18 record. They are six games back from the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central. The Reds are activating Nick Lodolo from the Injured list. He will make his first start of the season tonight against Mike Burrows. First pitch will be at 6:10 EST at the Great American Ball Park.

Nick Lodolo

The Cincinnati Reds have activated Nick Lodolo from the 15-day injured list today. He will be making his 2026 debut. Last season, Lodolo had a 9-8 record with a 3.33 ERA in 28 starts and 29 appearances for the Reds. Lodolo made three starts in the minors during his rehab. He had a 1-0 record with a 1.50 ERA and a 0.75 WHIP. He pitched 12 innings and struck out 17 during that time in the minors.

Jose Franco

The Cincinnati Reds have optioned Jose Franco to Triple-A ahead of their game today. Franco has pitched in eight games for the Reds with a 4.30 ERA and a 1.77 WHIP in 14 and two-thirds innings. Franco walked 11 and struck out 12 while with the Reds.
