The Chicago Cubs will look to complete the sweep of the Cincinnati Reds this afternoon at Wrigley Field. After three straight walkoff wins t start the series. Chicago will give the ball to Shota Imanaga today, while Rhett Lowder will get the start for the Reds. The Cubs improved their record to 25-12 with last night’s win. They are now three and a half games up on the Cardinals in the NL Central. Before today’s series finale, the Cubs announced two roster moves. They designate one pitcher for assignment. They recall one from Iowa today.

Gavin Hollowell

The Chicago Cubs have recalled Gavin Hollowell from Triple-A Iowa today before their series finale with the Reds. Hollowell has yet to pitch for the Cubs this season. Last season, he pitched in seven games with a 4.82 ERA and a 1.71 WHIP through nine and one-third innings of work. This season for Iowa, he has pitched in six games with a 2.25 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP. Hollowell has one save and one hold in Triple-A. Hollowell has 15 strikeouts in eight innings pitched so far this season for Iowa.

Corbin Martin

The Chicago Cubs have designated Corbin Martin for assignment ahead of the series finale with Cincinnati. Martin pitched in seven games for the Cubs this season. He has a 10.80 ERA and a 2.00 WHIP through five innings of work. Martin has recorded one save in one save opportunity during his time with Chicago.
