The Cubs today placed lefty Justin Steele on the 15-day injured list with tendinitis in his left elbow. Ethan Roberts has been recalled from Triple-A to take his spot on the roster.
Steele, through four starts, is 3-1 with a 4.76 ERA, a 1.15 WHIP, and 21 strikeouts in 22.2 innings. His last start came on Monday. Steele went seven shutout innings, giving up three hits; he walked two and struck out eight. Roberts, at Iowa this season, has appeared in three games. He is yet to allow a run on four hits; he also hasn’t issued a walk and has eight strikeouts.

Justin Steele
The Cubs drafted Steele in the fifth round of the 2014 MLB draft. In his career, he has made 102 appearances in his career with 91 of those coming as starts.
