Crochet will face Chris Sale, the reigning National League Cy Young for the Braves. Ahead of tonight’s game, the Red Sox selected right-handed pitcher Nick Burdi from Triple-A Worcester. To make room for Burdi, they optioned right-handed pitcher Cooper Criswell to Triple-A Worcester. They also transferred right-handed pitcher Kutter Crawford to the 60-day injured list.

Nick Burdi
Burdi in 13 games at Worcester is 3-0 with a 0.54 ERA, a 0.84 WHIP, and 25 strikeouts in 16.2 innings.
