The Boston Red Sox last week faced the Minnesota Twins, the Atlanta Braves, the Tampa Bay Rays twice in the Dominican Republic, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the St. Louis Cardinals. They went 3-3 beating the Rays twice and the Pirates and losing to the Twins, Braves, and Cardinals bringing their spring record to 11-7-1.

Boston Red Sox Top 10 Prospects Recap

SS – Marcelo Mayer

Mayer made his spring debut last week going 1-1 with a double in his lone at bat.

OF – Roman Anthony

Anthony hasn’t played since February 29th. He is hitting .667 with a 1.467 OPS; he has two runs scored, and two walks.  

C – Kyle Teel

Teel did not play last week. He is hitting .000 with a .000 OPS.  

OF/SS – Ceddanne Rafaela

Rafaela has played in five games this week and went 3-15 with two home runs, five RBI, and two runs scored. This spring he is hitting .242 with a .900 OPS; he has three home runs, seven RBI, four runs scored, and two stolen bases.  

2B – Nick Yorke

Yorke has played in three games this past week going 0-5. He is hitting .111 with a .349 OPS; he has two runs scored this spring.

OF – Miguel Bleis

Bleis is not playing for the Red Sox at Fort Myers.

RHP – Wikelman Gonzalez

Gonzalez didn’t pitch last week and was optioned to Triple-A bringing his numbers for spring to 0-0 with a 3.86 ERA, a 2.57 WHIP, and five strikeouts in 2.1 innings.

RHP – Richard Fitts

Fitts is not playing for the Red Sox at Fort Myers.

SS/2B – Mikey Romero

Romero is not playing for the Red Sox at Fort Myers

RHP – Luis Perales

Perales is not playing for the Red Sox at Fort Myers
