The Arizona Diamondbacks have activated catcher Gabriel Moreno from the 10-day injured list. This occurs ahead of game one with the Cubs today. Moreno has been on the injured list since April 14th with a left oblique strain. He has played in 13 games this season for Arizona. Moreno has a slash line of .275/.333/.400 with five doubles and five RBI this season.
Aramis Garcia
The Arizona Diamondbacks have designated Aramis Garcia for assignment ahead of their first game with the Cubs. Garcia appeared in three games for Arizona with three at-bats and one hit during his time with the team.

Brandyn Garcia
Arizona has recalled left-hand pitcher Brandyn Garcia from the Reno Aces today ahead of their first game against the Cubs. Garcia has pitched in ten games for the Aces in Triple-A this season with one loss and a 2.19 ERA across 12 and one-third innings pitched. He has recorded 18 strikeouts and a 1.70 WHIP in Triple-A.
Philip Abner
Arizona has optioned left-hand pitcher Philip Abner ahead of their game with the Cubs this afternoon. He will head to Triple-A to continue pitching with the Reno Aces. Abner appeared in one game for the Diamondbacks. He pitched two and one-third innings. Abner gave up two earned runs, one walk, one hit, and one strikeout. He leaves Arizona with a 7.71 ERA.
