Finally, Single-A Dunedin went 3-3 and outscored their opponents 38-19. On Thursday, their top pitching prospect, Trey Yesavage, took the ball for Single-A Dunedin, going six shutout innings, giving up four hits. He didn’t issue a walk and struck out eight. That start led to him being named Pitcher of the Week for the Florida State League. This season, through five starts, he is 1-0 with a 2.31 ERA, a 0.90 WHIP, and 36 strikeouts in 23.1 innings.

RHP Trey Yesavage Career
The Blue Jays drafted Yesavage with the 20th overall pick in last summer’s draft. He entered this season as the 88th overall prospect. He spent three seasons at East Carolina, where he made 65 appearances, with 29 of those coming as starts. Yesavage went 19-2 with a 2.58 ERA, a 1.03 WHIP, and 295 strikeouts in 195.1 innings. Last season, Trey Yesavage made 15 starts for East Carolina, going 11-1 with a 2.03 ERA, a 0.87 WHIP, and 145 strikeouts in 93.1 innings.
