The Toronto Blue Jays will take on the Texas Rangers tonight in a three-game series. The Blue Jays have had a disappointing season and with the trade deadline approaching they are likely to be sellers moving off pieces who have expiring contracts. Today however it was a different kind of roster move as they have recalled RHP Yerry Rodriguez from Triple-A Buffalo and he will be active for tonight’s game, in the corresponding move they have optioned RHP Ryan Burr to Triple-A Buffalo.

RHP – Yerry Rodriguez
Rodriguez has appeared in 26 big league games with one of those coming as a start all for the Rangers, he is 1-1 with a 7.11 ERA, a 5.59 FIP, a 1.71 WHIP, a 4.8 BB/9, and an 8.0 K/9 in 31.2 innings. This season he had appeared in 12 games with the Rangers going 1-0 with a 6.88 ERA, a 7.67 FIP, a 1.59 WHIP, a 5.8 BB/9, and a 6.4 K/9 in 17 innings.
