Jake Burger

The Texas Rangers have placed Jake Burger on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain. Burger exited the game last night in the top of the seventh inning. He strained his oblique in the win over the Pirates. Burger has 13 doubles, 10 home runs, and 29 RBI on the year for the Rangers. Burger has struggled a little this year, only hitting .220 in 65 games.

Justin Foscue

The Texas Rangers have recalled Justin Foscue from the Round Rock Express ahead of this afternoon’s game with the Pirates. Foscue has played in 15 games this year for the Rangers already. He has not been able to produce much during his limited action. In 42 at-bats, Foscue has 18 strikeouts and only two hits this year. Foscue has 13 doubles this year in 50 games in Triple-A. He also has 10 home runs and 37 RBI with the Round Rock Express. Foscue has been called up. However, he will not get the start today in Pittsburgh. Instead, Ezequiel Duran has been slotted into the lineup this afternoon.
