The Tampa Bay Rays will take on the New York Mets tonight in the middle game of their three-game series. The Rays won game one against the Mets 10-8 last night. Tonight, they will have Zack Littell making the start, while the Mets will have Christian Scott making his major league debut. Yesterday they were actively making moves starting by optioning first baseman Nico Goodrum and catcher René Pinto Triple-A Durham then they selected the contract of catcher Alex Jackson, they also activated outfielder Jonny Deluca from the 10-day injured list and finally they designated RHP Colby White for assignment. Today they activated outfielder Jose Siri

Rays Moves By The Numbers 

1B – Nico Goodrum

Goodrum in his first season with the Rays has appeared in nine games hitting .188 with a .423 OPS; he had one run scored, and a walk. In Triple-A he hit .316 with a 1.028 OPS; he had two doubles, three home runs, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored, one stolen base, and six walks. 

C – René Pinto

Pinto this season in 19 games hit .292 with a .720 OPS; he had three doubles, two home runs, six RBI, five runs scored, and four walks. 

C – Alex Jackson

Jackson played last night going 0-3 with an RBI. In Durham he hit .282 with a .956 OPS; he had five doubles, a triple, seven home runs, 18 RBI, 16 runs scored, and seven walks. 

OF – Jonny Deluca 

Deluca played last night going 1-4 with three RBI. In six game in Durham, he went 6-20 with a double, two home runs, six RBI, six runs scored, one stolen base, and four walks.

RHP – Colby White 

White has appeared in nine games in Durham and he has struggled going 0-2 with a 17.61 ERA, a 2.60 WHIP, and ten strikeouts in 7.2 innings.

OF – Jose Siri

Siri is back after serving his suspension for his actions in the brawl with the Brewers. This season in 29 games he is hitting .186 with a .578 OPS; he has four doubles, two home runs, seven RBI, 11 runs scored, six stolen bases, and eight walks.
