Wrap Up
The Red Sox and Padres are two very similar teams. Two teams that many didn’t expect to be that great in 2024. Two teams that are currently holding playoff spots in the Wild Card. Two teams that are second fiddle to teams that are expected to dominate their division. Here we are, these two teams for most of the categories are ranked in the top half of the league which for the Padres and the payroll they have isn’t a surprise but for the Red Sox no one saw it coming and in this series they need to find a way to take at least two out of three. The pitching lines up well for Boston based on who they are facing but when that happens this team turns into a shell, hopefully, that doesn’t happen this weekend and they continue this recent hot stretch in which they’ve won 11 of their last 15.
