Taveras will start in right field today and bat seventh. To make room for Taveras, they optioned outfielder Rhylan Thomas to Triple-A Tacoma.

Thomas played in three games with the Mariners, hitting .125 with a .450 OPS. He had a double, two RBI, two runs scored, and a walk. In 26 games with Tacoma, he hit .319 with a .724 OPS. He had a double, a home run, six RBI, 15 runs scored, six stolen bases, and six walks.

Leody Taveras
