The San Francisco Giants enter play today with a 22-13 record after taking three of four from the Colorado Rockies. They head to Wrigley Field to take on the Cubs for a three-game set. The Giants are in third place in the NL West. They are a game and a half back from the Dodgers. This is before the first game of the series with the Cubs. The Giants have announced they are calling up a left-hand pitcher from Triple-A Sacramento. They are designating another right-hand pitcher for assignment.

Kyle Harrison

The San Francisco Giants have recalled left-hand pitcher Kyle Harrison from Triple-A. This occurs ahead of their series opener with the Chicago Cubs. Harrison has yet to pitch for the Giants in 2025. Last season he made 24 starts for the Giants with a 7-7 record on the year. Harrison pitched in 124.1 innings with a 4.56 ERA, a 1.34 WHIP, and a .263 batting average against. He struck out 118 batters last season in those 24 starts. He has made six starts for Sacramento in Triple-A this season. Harrison has one win and a 3.46 ERA. In 26 innings of work, Harrison has 38 strikeouts and a 1.31 WHIP in Triple-A.

Lou Trivino

The San Francisco Giants designated right-pitcher Lou Trivino for assignment today. This occurred before game one of their series with the Cubs. He has pitched in 11 games this year for the Giants. Trivino has one win and a 5.84 ERA. He pitched in 12.1 innings, allowing 11 hits, eight runs, four home runs, five walks, and struck out 11. He leaves the Giants with a 1.30 WHIP and a .229 batting average against.
