Jackson Holliday was born in Austin, Texas, on December 4, 2003. He played high school baseball at Stillwater High School in Stillwater, OK. He was the first-ranked shortstop and the first overall player in Oklahoma.
Holliday’s senior year, he played in 40 games and hit .685 with a .752 OBP with 89 hits, 28 doubles, five triples, 17 home runs, 79 RBI, and 74 runs scored.
Holliday was the second-ranked shortstop in the country and the fifth-ranked player overall. He was committed to play college baseball at the Oklahoma State University.

In 2023, Holliday started the season as the 15th-ranked prospect by Baseball America and 12th by MLB.com. He played at four levels with Single-A Delmarva, High-A Aberdeen, Double-A Bowie, and Triple-A Norfolk. He played in 125 games and slashed .323/.442/.499 with a .941 OPS; he had 30 doubles, nine triples, 12 home runs, 75 RBI, 113 runs scored, 24 stolen bases, and 101 walks. He also played in the future game, going 0-1 with a strikeout.

ITD ranks Holliday as the number one overall prospect in all baseball entering 2024. He is expected to debut in 2024, which may happen with the Orioles having called up many of their prospects last season, leading to an American League East crown.
