Harry Ford was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 21, 2003. He played high school baseball at North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, GA. He was the top-ranked catcher and the second-ranked overall player in Georgia. At North Cobb, he hit .296 with a .486 OBP; he had 24 hits, seven doubles, two triples, five home runs, 22 RBI, and 23 runs scored. Ford was ranked the country’s top catcher and 11th overall player. He committed to play college baseball at Georgia Institute of Technology or Georgia Tech.

He played in the Arizona Fall League for Peoria, and in seven games, he slashed .174/.412/.609 with a 1.021 OPS; he had one double, three home runs, 11 RBI, nine runs scored, and nine walks. He also played in the Futures Game, going 0-1 with a strikeout.
