Picks of the Day 5/3

Shane Bieber toes the rubber for the Guardians tonight. Look for him Marcus Stroman, and Max Scherzer to win today. Ken Blaze-USA Today

Yesterday was a bloodbath. Twins -1.5 was a loser because Michael Friggin Kopech carried a one hitter into the 7th. Zac Gallen (Over 18.5 outs) was knocked out in the 6th by the Rangers. And, my reach pick, Shohei to hit a home run, didn’t even play. Thank goodness for Tanner Houck being forced to pitch the 6th after a 6-run 5th inning, or he wouldn’t have recorded the strikeout I needed.

1-2 yesterday. 49-43 on the season:
Pick #1
Mets @ Tigers (1:40pm, Game 1) Lucchesi to record over 15.5 outs, +105
Mets played a doubleheader Monday and used the entire bullpen. They play another double-dip today, and Buck will try and get the most out of his game 1 starter
Pick #2
Guardians @ Yankees, Over 7.5 Total Runs, -110
Bieber has allowed 2-3 runs in all 5 starts. It’s also Clarke Schmidt day, and his era is almost 7. I like Cleveland -1.5, +125, but I’m on a cold streak with run line picks.
Pick #3
Mariners @ A’s, Total Runs Over 7.5, -115
Coming off a day when both starters allowed a combined 2 hits, the lineups will be itching to hit today with JP Sears and Logan Gilbert on the hill. 7.5 runs is low for any A’s game that Mason Miller isn’t pitching.
Reach
4-Game Moneyline Parlay: Mets G1, Mets G2, Cubs, and Guardians moneylines, +520

I’ll also throw some money at Kyle Tucker +500 to hit home run versus Logan Webb and the Giants. Webb has allowed 7 homeruns in 6 starts, so he’s good for one today. Alvarez is only +300 to hit one, so I went with Tucker.
