Philadelphia Phillies Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Philadelphia Phillies Tied the Toronto Blue Jays yesterday during Grapefruit League play. They are playing split-squad games today against the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates. Before the game started they announced eight roster moves as they continued to shape up the rosters to help get them through the rest of Spring Training.

Assigned to Philadelphia Phillies Roster

RHP – Robinson Pina

Pina has been assigned to the Phillies roster before the games today. He spent all of last season in the minors between three teams A+, AA, and AAA for the Phillies minor system. He went 5-5, 11 starts, 34 total appearances, 97.1 innings, 90 K’s, 4.07 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP combined last season.

2B – Trent Farquhar

Farquhar was assigned to the Phillies roster today ahead of the todays games. He played for the Florida Complex League Phillies and the Florida State League Clearwater team last year. Combined last year he played in 16 games slashing .269/.406/.346 with an OPS of .752 on the season.

3B – Otto Kemp

Kemp as well was added to the Phillies roster before the games today. Last year Kemp spent the year between the Florida State League Clearwater and the South Atlantic League Jersey Shore Blueclaws for the Phillies affiliates. He played in 109 games slashing .243/.360/.376 with an OPS of .736 over those 109 games.

C – Jorge Mendez

Mendez played for the Phillies in the Florida Complex League last year seeing 25 games of action. During his time last year, he slashed .217/.367/.370 and had an OPS of .737 in 25 games.

OF – Emaairon Byrd

Boyd last season played for the Clearwater Phillies and played in 91 games he slashed .262/.366/.324 with an OPS of .690 during those games. He also had 36 RBIs and 56 stolen bases last year.

OF – Gabriel Rincones Jr.

Rincones Jr ranks as the tenth prospect in the Phillie system according to ITD. He spent last season split between the Clearwater Phillies and the Jersey Shore Blueclaws he played in a total of 120 games, he hit a combined 15 home runs, 60 RBIs, and 32 stolen bases while slashing .248/.351/.427 with an OPS of .778 over the 120 games.

OF – Justin Crawford

Crawford is the 78th prospect by ITD and the Phillies fourth overall prospect. played with the Clearwater Phillies in the Florida State League and the Jersey Shore Blueclaws last season. He played in 87 games, with 64 RBIs, and 47 stolen bases while slashing .332/.392/.467 and a .859 OPS.

SS – Aidan Miller

Miller is the 63rd-ranked prospect by ITD and the Phillies third-ranked prospect. Like many others, Miller spent last year split between the Phillies Florida Complex League team and the Clearwater Florida State League team for the Phillies. He played in 20 games slashing .303/.425/.379 with an OPS of .804 over 20 games.
