The Philadelphia Phillies have split-squad games today. They will play the Minnesota Twins. The Phillies will also play the Toronto Blue Jays. They are 11-12 in Grapefruit League play, three games back of the Blue Jays who own the best record. The Phillies will start the 2025 season on the road as they will face the Washington Nationals. The Phillies will be doing so without their third-ranked prospect Justin Crawford. He is the 63rd-ranked prospect in all of baseball. They optioned outfielder Crawford to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Crawford this spring in seven games hit .300 with a .717 OPS. He had four runs scored and two stolen bases. This is Crawford’s fourth season in the Phillies organization. He’s played in 213 games hitting .316 with a .813 OPS. Crawford has 47 doubles, 13 triples, 12 home runs, 130 RBI, 158 runs scored, 99 stolen bases, and 71 walks. He continuously gets better each season. Last season, between High-A and Double-A he played in 110 games. He hit .313 with a .805 OPS. Crawford had 25 doubles, four triples, nine home runs, 61 RBI, 79 runs scored, 42 stolen bases, and 32 walks. He played in 70 games at High-A Jersey Shore last season hitting .301 with a .788 OPS. Crawford had 14 doubles, four triples, six home runs, 35 RBI, 54 runs scored, 27 stolen bases, and 21 walks. He also played at Double-A Reading appearing in 40 games hitting .333 with a .834 OPS. Crawford had 11 doubles, three home runs, 26 RBI, 25 runs scored, 15 stolen bases, and 11 walks.
