Philadelphia Phillies & Detroit Tigers Made a Trade

The Philadelphia Phillies have just traded for right-handed pitcher Matt Manning from the Detroit Tigers. I do think another starting pitcher could help the Phillies in the long run. The Tigers designated Manning for assignment after some of their trades earlier today.

Is Matt Manning A Good Trade?

What I was hoping was that the Philadelphia Phillies could have gotten another batter in the outfield who could help them in the long run. Do I think the Phillies will do any more trading or get anyone else?, I will say no because this will be the end for the Phillies. I think the Philadelphia Phillies could have done better with the trade. Besides, they got a outfielder and a closer.

Phillies Outfielder Platoon

Now I’m wondering who the outfielder will platoon with, Brandon Marsh or Max Kepler, because both of them play in the outfield. Time will tell how we will handle this in the long run because the Phillies need to be better in the outfield. Now I will name who the Phillies got at the trading deadline. Harrison Bader will be playing in the outfield, but who he will platoon with exactly that what we need to find out. Because he is already on the 40-man roster list, His postseason stats are good. But the Phillies could have done better, I will be honest.

Phillies Got A Closer

The Phillies got their closer over the deadline in Jhoan Duran. He will be very good and electric at Citizen Bank Park, which is a very good move that the Phillies did.

Alumni Weekend

The Philadelphia Phillies are going to be facing the Detroit Tigers at CBP Alumni weekend it will be a great weekend for the Philadelphia Phillies.
