The St. Louis Cardinals will begin a three game series tonight against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 4-5 Cardinals are coming off a tough weekend. The Cardinals were swept by the Boston Red Sox including losing both games of a doubleheader yesterday. Matthew Liberatore gets the ball for the Cardinals. Liberatore is facing Carmen Mlodzinski for the Pirates. The Cardinals have scratched third baseman Nolan Arenado from the lineup tonight as he is dealing with an illness as well as general soreness. Thomas Saggese will start at third base now.

He has three doubles, a home run, six RBI, six runs scored, and six walks. Hopefully things subside soon and Arenado returns to the St. Louis lineup.
