New York Mets Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The New York Mets will face the Baltimore Orioles today in a doubleheader following last night’s rainout. Ahead of today’s game, they made a few moves as they recalled right-handed pitcher Austin Warren from Triple-A Syracuse to serve as the 27th roster spot. The Mets also designated outfielder Travis Jankowski for assignment and recalled infielder Luisangel Acuna from Triple-A Syracuse.

Austin Warren

Warren, in three games with the Mets this season, is 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP, and four strikeouts in five innings. In 20 games at Syracuse, with two of those coming as starts, he is 5-0 with a 3.82 ERA, a 1.27 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts in 30.2 innings.

Travis Jankowski

Jankowski has appeared on three teams this season. In four games with the Mets, he scored just one run. In 25 games this season, across all three teams, he has hit .244 with a .575 OPS. He has two doubles, two RBI, eight runs scored, two stolen bases, and three walks. In eight games at Triple-A Syracuse, he hit .200 with a .549 OPS. He has a home run, five RBI, six runs scored, two stolen bases, and three walks. In 17 minor league games this season, he’s hitting .231 with a .672 OPS. He has a double, two home runs, seven RBI, 13 runs scored, four stolen bases, and ten walks.

Luisangel Acuna

Acuna, in 65 games with the Mets this season, hit .241 with a .576 OPS. He has six doubles, six RBI, 23 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, and ten walks. In 12 games at Syracuse, he’s hit .289 with a .724 OPS. He has two doubles, a triple, four RBI, nine runs scored, four stolen bases, and five walks.
