The Minnesota Twins start their series with the Miami Marlins. They have a 40-44 record. They are in third place in the AL Central. The all-star game is approaching. The Minnesota Twins trail the Detroit Tigers by 12 and a half games in the division. Today before the opening game of their new series with Miami, the Minnesota Twins have announced two roster moves. The Minnesota Twins have activated one player from the injured list. They have designated another for assignment to make room on the roster before first pitch.

Royce Lewis

The Minnesota Twins have activated Royce Lewis from the 10-day injured list today. Royce Lewis has been on the injured list since June 14th with a left hamstring strain. He started the year on the injured list with the same injury this season. He has only been able to play in 30 games this year for the Twins. Lewis has struggled when active this year with a .202 average and a .585 OPS. He does have four doubles, two home runs, and nine RBI. Royce Lewis’s struggles have carried into his rehab time as well with the St. Paul Saints in Triple-A this year. In nine games he has a .129 batting average and a .313 OPS.

Jonah Bride

The Minnesota Twins have designated Third baseman Jonah Bride for assignment today. In 45 games with the Minnesota Twins this year Jonah Bride has played in 45 games with a .170 batting average and a .436 OPS. Bride has two doubles and five RBI during his time with the Minnesota Twins this year.
