The Minnesota Twins will play two games today after rain postponed their series opener against the Baltimore Orioles yesterday. Minnesota is 8-2 in May and currently riding an eight-game winning streak entering today. The Twins are averaging 4.4 runs per game while allowing three runs per game. Bailey Ober gets the ball in game one for Minnesota, and he will face Dean Kremer for the Orioles. In game two, Simeon Woods Richardson gets the ball for the Twins, the Orioles haven’t announced their starter yet. The rosters will expand to 27 for today’s doubleheader. The Twins are recalling left-handed pitcher Kody Funderburk from Triple-A St. Paul. Funderburk has appeared in two games for the Twins, posting a 4.50 ERA, a 1.00 WHIP, and five strikeouts in four innings. In ten games at Triple-A, he is 2-0 with a 2.19 ERA, a 0.89 WHIP, and 16 strikeouts in 12.1 innings.

Kody Funderburk

Funderburk has made 40 career appearances for the Twins. He is 3-0 with a 4.97 ERA, a 1.40 WHIP, and 56 strikeouts in 50.2 innings. He has made 136 career appearances, starting 48 of them in the Twins organization. Funderburk is 25-13 with a 3.28 ERA, a 1.29 WHIP, and 401 strikeouts in 348.2 innings.
