Kody Clemens
The Phillies had designated the second baseman for assignment ahead on April, 23rd. Clemens did not have much of an offensive impact on the team this year. In seven games he had only six at-bats without recording a hit and only taking one walk. His struggles continued from his 2024 season. Last year he played in 44 games with a .219 batting average and a .705 OPS on the year. Clemens had 17 runs, 25 hits, nine doubles, and one triple last year. He also hit five home runs and had 18 RBI. Additionally, he struck out 29 times.
Summary
It is unfortunate for Luke Keaschall as the rookie had been hitting well since his call up with a .368 batting average and a 1.065 OPS. With limited options healthy the Twins did acted quickly calling the Phillies to finalize a deal for Clemens.
