The St. Louis Cardinals started their home stand tonight. They will be home for the next six games. Tonight they started a three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies. Their starting shortstop Masyn Winn left the game tonight. He is dealing with lower back spasms. Thomas Saggese moved to shortstop, Pedro Pages moved to second base, and Yohel Pozo is in at catcher for the Cardinals. In 12 games this season he’s hitting .222 with a .603 OPS. He has a home run, three RBI, eight runs scored, and five walks. The Cardinals already made a bullpen move ahead of tonight’s game. Hopefully this isn’t serious more moves may be on the horizon for the Cardinals.
