The Los Angeles Angels conclude their three-game series with the Chicago White Sox tonight. The Angels are looking to avoid being swept by the Chicago after dropping the first two games of the series and being outscored 13-9. They’re currently on a five-game losing streak after being swept by the Royals over the weekend. During the skid, they’re averaging 4.4 runs per game while allowing 8.4 runs per game. Yusei Kikuchi gets the ball for the Angels, while Erick Fedde gets the ball for the White Sox. The Angels ahead of today’s game designated left-handed pitcher Joey Lucchesi for assignment and recalled left-handed pitcher Mitch Farris from Triple-A Salt Lake. They also sent right-handed pitcher Ben Joyce on a rehab assignment to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Joey Lucchesi
Lucchesi, in five games this season for the Angels, is 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA, a 3.90 WHIP, and four strikeouts in 3.1 innings. He also appeared in four games for Salt Lake in Triple-A, going 0-1 with a 4.32 ERA, a 1.32 WHIP, and 11 strikeouts in 8.1 innings.
Mitch Farris

Ben Joyce
Joyce is returning after undergoing labral repair surgery on his right shoulder that caused him to miss most of 2025 after sustaining the injury in April of last season. In five games, he went 1-0 in 2025. Joyce posted a 6.23 ERA, a 1.39 WHIP, and a strikeout in 4.1 innings. In 2024, his last full season, he appeared in 31 games with a start, going 2-0 with four saves. He had a 2.08 ERA, a 1.15 WHIP, and 33 strikeouts in 34.2 innings.
