The move to the 60-day IL opens a spot on the 40-man roster and extends his recovery timeline. Andrew Hoffman

In response to Harvey’s injury, the Royals have recalled right-handed pitcher Andrew Hoffman from Triple-A Omaha. Hoffman, 26, has been a reliable arm for the Storm Chasers, showcasing his potential to contribute at the major league level. His recall aims to bolster the bullpen depth during Harvey’s absence.

Additionally, the Royals have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Thomas Hatch from Triple-A Omaha. After spending the 2024 season with the Hiroshima Carp in Japan, Hatch has been working to regain his form.
