Kansas City Royals Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Kansas City Royals enter rivalry weekend with a 25-20 record. They are in third place in the AL Central four and a half games back from the Detroit Tigers. They just lost their last series to the Houston Astros and will host the St. Louis Cardinals for three games over the weekend. Game one of the series kicks off tonight with Cole Ragans facing Andre Pallante. Before the game tonight the Royals have announced two roster moves. They have activated Dairon Blanco from the injured list and placed a reliever on the Paternity list.

Dairon Blanco

The Kansas City Royals have activated Outfielder Dairon Blanco from the 10-day injured list. He has been out due to a right Achilles tendinopathy since March 31st. Blanco played in the year’s first three games without recording a hit. He scored two runs and had two steals before going on the injured list, during his rehab stint in Triple-A. He has played in 12 games with a .296 batting average and a .720 OPS. Blanco has seven runs, eight hits, one double, one RBI, and five steals.

Taylor Clarke

The Kansas City Royals have placed right-hand pitcher Taylor Clarke on the Paternity list today. This occurred ahead of their game against the Cardinals. Clarke has pitched in five games so far this year for the Royals. He has one win on the year through 5.1 innings of work. Clarke has yet to allow an earned run. He has struck out three and allowed a .158 batting average against this year.
