Jordan Montgomery – LHP

The Diamondbacks will be without Montgomery this season as the lefty will undergo Tommy John surgery. Montgomery has struggled to bounce back after his March 19th outing for the Diamondbacks. He pitched in two games this spring for the Diamondbacks, throwing three innings. Montgomery finished his 2025 spring training with a 15.00 ERA and a 2.67 WHIP. Last season for the Diamondbacks, he made 21 starts and came out of the bullpen in four other games. He finished last year with eight wins, seven losses, and a 6.23 ERA. Last year, he pitched in 117 innings, striking out 83 batters. As of right now, the team will be without the lefty for all of 2025. It could extend to part of 2026 depending on his recovery.

Jalen Beeks – LHP

The Arizona Diamondbacks are signing Jalen Beeks. Beeks had recently been let go by the Houston Astros on March 22nd, 2025. With the news concerning Montgomery, the Diamondbacks wasted no time snagging up Beeks to place in their bullpen. Beeks spent last year between the Colorado Rockies and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He had seven wins, four losses, and a 4.50 ERA. Beeks pitched in 70 innings last year, striking out 55 and having a 1.49 WHIP.
