In 31 games this year he has a .308 batting average with a .938 OPS. Rushing has 33 hits, five doubles, one triple, five home runs, 17 RBI, and 23 runs scored. The 15th-ranked prospect in baseball aims to maintain his impressive performance. He will do so with the Dodgers in the challenging NL West.

Austin Barnes

It’s reported Austin Barnes will be designated for assignment by the Dodgers to make room for Rushing. Barnes has played in 13 games this year so far for the Dodgers. He has a .214 batting average and a .519 OPS. Barnes has four runs scored, nine hits, three doubles, and two RBI on the season. Barnes has fallen off this year as his average is well below last years .264 he ended the season with. The Dodgers want to evaluate their top prospect.
