Summary:

The Diamondbacks take on the Colorado Rockies today in Cactus League play as they wind down spring training. They continue to trim down their roster as they near Opening Day. They will host the Chicago Cubs at home on that day. While Jordan Lawlar being optioned to Triple-A isn’t a surprise. The question now is how long until we see him back with the big league club. That will all depend on the performance of the current Short-stop Geraldo Perdomo. If Lawlar hits at a high rate in Reno, he might make a case for himself. He could handle the DH duties at the very least. One way or another Lawlar is the team’s future at shortstop it’s just a matter of when now.
