The Detroit Tigers wrap up their series with the Atlanta Braves today as they look to avoid being swept. The Tigers once had complete control of the American League Central, but now their lead is down to just one game as the Cleveland Guardians have closed in. The Tigers after today will start a critical three-game series against the Guardians in Cleveland. Today they designated right-handed pitcher Charlie Morton for assignment. To take his spot they have recalled right-handed pitcher Tanner Rainey from Triple-A Toledo.
