Detroit Tigers Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Detroit Tigers started their series off with a 6-2 win over the New York Yankees yesterday. Reigning American League Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal will take the ball today as he will face Carlos Carrasco for the Yankees. Skubal has struggled to start the season, going 0-2 with a 5.91 ERA, a 1.50 WHIP, and ten strikeouts in 10.2 innings. He will be pitching today without a hit catcher as the Tigers placed Jake Rogers on the injured list with left oblique tightness. They selected the contract of catcher Tomas Nido from Triple-A Toledo. To make room on the 40-man roster for Nido, Wenceel Perez was moved to the 60-day injured list.
