Colorado Rockies Trade Nolan Jones to the Cleveland Guardians

The Cleveland Guardians are sending Tyler Freeman to the Colorado Rockies in a trade. Opening day is right around the corner for both teams. The Rockies start their 2025 season on the road against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Guardians will head out on the road to take on the Kansas City Royals to kick off their season.

Nolan Jones – OF

Nolan Jones is heading to Cleveland and will most likely start his year in the minors. This spring Jones has had 47 at-bats for the Rockies. He has scored five runs and had 11 hits along with seven RBIs. Jones ends his spring training with the Rockies with a .234 batting average. Jones played in 79 games last year for the Rockies. He had 13 doubles, one triple, three home runs, 28 RBIs, and five stolen bases. Jones finished his 2024 with a .227 batting average and a slash line of .321/.320/.641.

Tyler Freeman – OF

Tyler Freeman will be heading to Colorado in return. He will finish out his spring, before the start of the 2025 year with his new team. So far this spring, Freeman has had 39 at-bats. He has scored five runs and achieved 12 hits. He has also hit two home runs, six RBIs, and stolen one base. Freeman leaves the Guardians after having a .308 batting average this spring. Freeman played in 118 games last year for the Guardians. He had 14 doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 32 RBIs, and 11 stolen bases. Freeman finished 2024 with a .209 batting average and a slash line of .305/.321/.626.
