The Colorado Rockies will be on the road today against the Milwaukee Brewers in Cactus League play. Before the game today the Rockies have announced two roster moves. prospect Zac Veen has been optioned to Triple-A today. While the Rockies select the contract from Albuquerque to join the roster. All this coming on the heels of yesterday’s trade with the Cleveland Guardians. Colorado just sent off Nolan Jones in return for another young outfielder from the Guardians. The Rockies are winding down the spring and getting their roster lined up for opening day. The Rockies open their 2025 regular season on the road against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Zac Veen – OF

The Colorado Rockies have optioned Zac Veen to Triple-A where he will start his year with the Albuquerque Isotopes. Zac Veen had 57 at bats this spring for the Rockies. He had a .298 batting average with two home runs, 11 RBIs and nine stolen bases. He will head to Triple-A to get regular playing time with hopes of continuing his hot start from spring training.

Nick Martini – OF

The Colorado Rockies have selected the contract of Martini from the Albuquerque Isotopes today. Martini had 36 at bats this spring with two home runs, four RBIs, two stolen bases and a batting average of .389. The Rockies signed Martini this off season as a free agent. He spent last year within the Cincinnati Reds organization. He played in 52 games last year for the Reds. Martini had five home runs, 24 RBIs, and hit .212 for the Reds in 2024.
