Brayan Rocchio

The Guardians have optioned shortstop Brayan Rocchio to Columbus in Triple-A. Rocchio was struggling at the plate, to say the least. In his last seven games, he had 18 at-bats without a hit. In his previous 15 games, he had 41 at-bats with just four hits. He will continue his season with the Columbus Clippers in Triple-A. This season so far, Rocchio has a .165 batting average with just eight runs scored and eight RBI. He has 21 strikeouts and only five walks on the season. Defensively, he has not been much better with a .943 fielding percentage to start the year. Rocchio has six errors in 105 total chances this season from shortstop. Hopefully, he can find some patience in Triple-A. He needs to manage to fix his approach at the plate. Otherwise, he might be there awhile.

Will Brennan

The Guardians have recalled outfielder Will Brennan from Triple-A Columbus Today. Brennan has seen some success early this season with the Clippers. In 35 games, he has a .304 batting average with a .759 OPS. He has eight doubles, three home runs, 18 RBI, and two steals on the year. Last season, Brennan played in 114 games for the Guardians with a .264 batting average and a .697 OPS. He ended the year with eight home runs, 13 doubles, and 30 RBI on the year.
