Cleveland Guardians Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Guardians and Red Sox were rained out last night and will play a day-night doubleheader today. The rosters expand to 27 for the doubleheader. Both teams have made moves to add the 27th man to the roster. The Guardians have announced four moves today. They are calling up Dough Nikhazy to start the second game of the doubleheader. They are also calling up Kolby Allard from Triple-A.

Kolby Allard

The Cleveland Guardians have selected the contract of, left-hand pitcher Kolby Allard contract from the Columbus Clippers of Triple-A. Allard has made four starts in Triple-A this year so far. He has yet to factor in a decision for Columbus. He has pitched in 16.2 innings striking out 13 and a 4.86 ERA on the year.

Doug Nikhazy

The Guardians have recalled left-hand pitcher Doug Nikhazy from Triple-A today before the doubleheader with the Red Sox. Nikhazy has been tagged as the starter for the second game of the day for the Guardians. In Triple-A he has made four starts and has one win to go with a 3.44 ERA. In 18.1 innings of work, he has struck out 22 to go with a 1.25 WHIP.

Zak Kent

The Guardians have optioned Zak Kent to Triple-A. Kent has pitched in one game for the Guardians this year. He pitched three innings, allowing three hits and one run. Kent also walked two and struck out four. He leaves Cleveland with a 3.00 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP

Erik Sabrowski

The Guardians have transferred Sabrowski from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list with left elbow inflammation. He had worked in eight games in 2024 for the Guardians. Sabrowski pitched in 12.2 innings with one save and a 0.00 ERA. He last pitched for the Guardians on September,27th, 2024.
