Cincinnati Reds Roster Moves 4/10/25

Cincinnati Reds Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Reds have an off day today after wrapping up their series with the San Francisco Giants. They won the series on the road, taking two of the three games. They now head back home for a six-game home stand. The series begins with three games against the Pittsburgh Pirates. They will then face the Seattle Mariners. With a 5-8 record currently, the Reds sit in fourth place in the NL Central. The team will hopefully get a boost with the return of a free agent. This player was signed this offseason. Austin Hays has been sent to Triple-A for a rehab assignment today. There’s a chance we see him back in Cincinnati for the second series in this six-game home stand. This will happen as long as he doesn’t face any setbacks while with Louisville.

Austin Hays – OF

The Cincinnati Reds have sent Hays on a rehab assignment with the Louisville Bats in Triple-A. Hays has been on the shelf since March 26th with a left calf strain suffered in spring training. This spring for the Reds, he had a .310 batting average with a 1.060 OPS. Hays had seven runs scored, three doubles, two triples, three home runs, 14 RBI, and one steal. Last year, for Baltimore, Hays was only able to play in 85 games due to injury. The Reds hope he can resume his performance from spring training. They are aiming for a 2023-type year. In 2023, Hays had a .275 batting average with a .769 OPS. Hays had 16 home runs, 67 RBI, 36 doubles, two triples, and stole five bags.
