Chicago White Sox Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The White Sox have a 2-8 record, losing six straight heading into tonight’s game with the Guardians. The team has announced three roster moves today, headlined by Outfielder Andrew Benintendi. The team has placed the outfielder on the injured list with an abductor strain. They have two games left in the three-game series with Cleveland. Then the Red Sox come to town for a three-game set.

Andrew Benintendi – OF

The White Sox have placed Benintendi on the 10-day injured list. He has a left abductor strain. This move is retroactive to April 7th. In nine games this season Benintendi has a .290 batting average and a .817 OPS. He has five runs, nine hits, two home runs, and six RBI.

Travis Jankowski – OF

The White Sox signed Jankowski to a minor league contract today ahead of their game with the Guardians. Jankowski was sent outright to Charlotte yesterday and today signed his minor league deal. He has already played in seven games for the White Sox this year. Jankowski has a .214 batting average and a .481 OPS. Jankowski will continue his 2025 season with the Charlotte Knights in Triple-A.

Greg Jones – OF

The White Sox have recalled Jones from the Charlotte Knights in Triple-A. Jones has played in nine games for the Knights in Triple-A. He has two runs, four hits, one double, one home run, five RBI, and four steals. Jones has a .129 batting average and a .528 OPS so far. Jones was claimed off waivers from the Colorado Rockies at the end of Spring Training camp. He will make his White Sox debut during this call-up!
