Chicago White Sox Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The White Sox enter the series finale with the Athletics. They hope to win the last game of the series and avoid a series sweep. The White Sox have a 4-13 record so far this year. After today’s game, they will head to Boston for a four game series. Then they will travel to Minnesota to play three games. They will finish off a 10 game road trip with the Athletics. Before this afternoon’s game the White Sox have announced three roster moves. One of which is calling up prospect Edgar Quero from Triple-A Charlotte.

Edgar Quero – C

The Chicago White Sox have selected Quero’s contract from the Charlotte Knights. This was done ahead of today’s game with the Athletics. The 22 year old prospect has played in 15 games for the Charlotte Knights so far this season. He has nine runs scored, 17 hits, one double, one home run, and four RBI. Quero has a .333 batting average and a .856 OPS this season. Quero entered this season as the 64th ranked prospect by ITD.

Omar Narvaez – C

The White Sox have designated Narvaez for assignment ahead of today’s game with the Athletics. Narvaez played in four games for the White Sox so far. He has one run, two hits, and three RBI. He finishes with a .286 batting average and a .686 OPS.

Greg Jones – OF

The White Sox have optioned Jones back to Triple-A where he will continue his season with the Charlotte Knights. In three games with the White Sox, Jones failed to get a hit. However, he was able to steal one base during his time with the big club.
