This morning ahead of the third game of their series with the Rays, the Red Sox received tough news. Right-handed pitcher Hunter Dobbins was placed on the 15-day injured list with an ACL tear. The injury occurred last night in the middle of the game. It happened on a ground ball to first base. Dobbins was covering the base. To replace Hunter Dobbins on the active roster, the Red Sox are recalling right-handed pitcher Richard Fitts from Triple-A Worcester. Dobbins last night before leaving the game went 1.2 innings giving up one run on two hits. He walked one and struck out two.
