Nick Burdi

The team placed right-handed pitcher Nick Burdi on the 15-day injured list due to right foot contusion. He pitched an inning last night, walking one and striking out one. Burdi had been performing well at Triple-A Worcester, posting a 0.48 ERA with four saves in 15 games. His absence leaves a gap in the bullpen as the team seeks to maintain pitching depth.

Richard Fitts

After a challenging start against the Los Angeles Angels, where he allowed six runs in just one inning, Richard Fitts has been optioned back to Triple-A Worcester. The Red Sox are hopeful that additional time in the minors will help Fitts regain his form.

Cooper Criswell

In response to recent pitching challenges, the Red Sox have recalled right-handed pitcher Cooper Criswell from Triple-A Worcester. Criswell has shown promise, with a 1.40 ERA in his recent starts at Worcester, and will look to contribute positively to the team’s rotation.

Zack Kelly

Kelly last pitched for the Red Sox on May 25th when he went two innings, giving up two runs, one earned, on one hit. He walked one and didn’t record a strikeout.

Hunter Dobbins

Rookie right-hander Hunter Dobbins has been named the team’s fifth starting pitcher. Dobbins, ranked as the Red Sox’s No. 13 prospect, impressed with a strong outing in relief of Fitts. He’ll look to build on that performance as he transitions into a starting role.
