Boston Red Sox Roster Moves 6/27

Red Sox Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Boston Red Sox are off today as they await the San Diego Padres for a three-game series that starts tomorrow night. The Red Sox will have 48 hours off after last night’s finale against the Toronto Blue Jays was rained out after 1.1 innings. The rest will be key for the Red Sox bullpen who had to pitch 6.2 innings after Brayan Bello lasted only 2.1 innings, thankfully despite the amount of innings it was saved by Josh Winckowski who pitched six of those innings and pitched so well that he will be making a start on Sunday in the finale against the Padres. With today’s off day, the Red Sox made some moves as they activated Connor Wong from the paternity list and optioned catcher Tyler Heineman and pitcher Isaiah Campbell to Triple-A Worcester. The Red Sox will call up a pitcher tomorrow to take Campbell’s spot on the roster.
