The Boston Red Sox play the middle game of their three-game series with the New York Mets tonight. They won game one last night 3-1. “Tonight, right-handed pitcher Walker Buehler will start on the mound after the team activated him from the injured list. Buehler is facing right-handed pitcher Clay Holmes for the Mets. To allow Buehler to be activated, the Red Sox have optioned reliever Nick Burdi to Triple-A Worcester. Buehler in six starts is 4-1 with a 4.28 ERA, a 4.29 FIP, a 1.22 WHIP, and 29 strikeouts in 33.2 innings. Burdi had two scoreless appearances with the Red Sox, going 2.1 innings, giving up four hits. He walked one and struck out one.

Walker Buehler
