Before first pitch, the Red Sox adjusted their bullpen as they recalled right-handed pitcher Luis Guerrero from Triple-A Worcester. They optioned right-handed pitcher Josh Winckowski to Triple-A Worcester. Guerrero has made eight appearances, going 0-1 with a 5.23 ERA, a 1.36 WHIP, and seven strikeouts in 10.1 innings. Winckowski has appeared in six games for the Red Sox, going 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA, a 1.37 WHIP, and nine strikeouts in 11.2 innings.

Luis Guerrero
Guerrero was drafted in the 17th round of the MLB Draft by the Red Sox. He made nine appearances for the Red Sox last season, going ten innings, giving up one unearned run on six hits. He walked two and struck out nine. In 42 games with Worcester last season, he went 5-3 with a 3.31 ERA, a 1.31 WHIP, and 79 strikeouts in 54.1 innings.

Josh Winckowski
Winckowski last season in 40 appearances in Boston, with six of those coming as starts, going 4-2 with a 4.14 ERA, a 1.41 WHIP, and 60 strikeouts in 76 innings. In seven games with six coming as starts at Worcester last season, he went 3-2 with a 2.87 ERA, a 1.25 WHIP, and 29 strikeouts in 31.1 innings.
