The Red Sox shut out Toronto in game one, 5-0, while the Blue Jays returned the favor with a 3-0 shutout last night. The Red Sox are 2-1 since the firing of manager Alex Cora, averaging 3.3 runs per game while allowing two runs per game. Ahead of today’s finale, the Red Sox are reportedly recalling utility player Nate Eaton from Triple-A Worcester. The big news today is that Boston ace left-handed pitcher Garrett Crochet is heading to the injured list with shoulder inflammation.

Garrett Crochet

This comes after he finished second in American League Cy Young voting last season and eighth in MVP voting. He made 32 starts, going 18-5.
