Key News & Notes

Jarren Duran is red hot as he’s riding an eight-game hitting streak. During that, he’s hitting .351 with four home runs, eight RBI, and six runs scored. Durbin is also heating up with a four-game hitting streak in which he’s hitting .353 with three doubles, a triple, six RBI, and a run scored..

The original lineup today has Ceddanne Rafaela in center field, but he was later scratched. Reports are that he has low back tightness. Willson Contreras also wasn’t in the starting lineup. Reportedly, he is dealing with a lingering hand/wrist issue, which isn’t surprising with all the hit by pitches he takes in that area. He did enter the game in the ninth defensively so that’s a positive sign. The most concerning after the Roman Anthony news is now Garrett Crochet. According to Chad Tracy, he’s had a setback. Lat tightness has popped up over the last few days. They’re stopping his progress, and he won’t throw a live batting practice on Tuesday as originally planned.
