Baltimore Orioles Showcase Prospects in Walk-off Win

The Baltimore Orioles kicked off their Spring Training schedule today with a walk-off against the Boston Red Sox. They started their high prized off-season acquisition in Corbin Burnes who looked good going one innings giving up one hit and striking out two on eight pitches. Burnes being in the American League with the Orioles will look to help them retain that division title. Besides Burnes today the Orioles featured most of their prospects in the Inside The Diamonds Top 100 even with one of them leading to the win with Jackson Holliday, Colton Cowser, Coby Mayo, Heston Kjerstad, and Enrique Bradfield all playing against the Red Sox today. 

Prospects First Day

Holliday is ranked as the number-one prospect overall and today he went 0-2 with a strikeout. Cowser is the 19th overall prospect and today he went 1-1 with the walk-off home run driving in two runs to secure the 4-3 win. Mayo is ranked the 30th overall prospect going into the season and today he went 1-1 with a double. Kjerstad is ranked the 33rd ranked prospect and he went 0-2 with two strikeouts. Finally Bradfield who is the 93rd overall prospect and he went 0-1 with a strikeout.

The Orioles continue their Grapefruit League schedule tomorrow with a game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at 1:05 PM.
