Baltimore Orioles Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Baltimore Orioles today will face the Toronto Blue Jays in a doubleheader. The first game is a makeup of the April 11th rainout. Due to today being a doubleheader, the rosters for both teams will expand to 27. The Orioles, aside from being able to add an extra player, placed a pitcher on the 15-day injured list. The Orioles today placed right-handed pitcher Colin Selby on the injured list with a left hamstring strain. They recalled two right-handed pitchers in Yaramil Hiraldo from Triple-A Norfolk, and the other is Brandon Young for High-A Aberdeen.

Colin Selby

Selby this season in nine games is 0-2. He posts a 4.09 ERA, a 3.82 FIP, a 1.55 WHIP, and 12 strikeouts in 11 innings. He’s made 35 career appearances with five of those coming as starts, going 2-4. He posts a 6.64 ERA, a 4.39 FIP, a 1.62 WHIP, and 47 strikeouts in 42 innings.

Yaramil Hiraldo

Hiraldo, in two games for Baltimore this season, hasn’t allowed a run on one hit, he hasn’t issued a walk, and struck out one in 2.1 innings. In 25 appearances, with one coming as a start across three minor league levels, he is 1-0. Hiraldo posts a 4.19 ERA, a 1.16 WHIP, and 52 strikeouts in 38.2 innings.

Brandon Young

Young in seven starts for the Orioles this season is 0-5. He posts a 7.34 ERA, a 6.02 FIP, a 1.76 WHIP, and 28 strikeouts in 30.2 innings. In seven starts between Triple-A and High-A, he is 2-1. Young posts a 2.70 ERA, a 0.99 WHIP, and 36 strikeouts in 33.1 innings.
